DAV Chapter 48 Fun in the Sun - 08/20/2022
We were joined by DAV General Washington Chapter 7 Fredericksburg VA and Arlington-Fairfax DAV Chapter 10 for the first Northern Virginia DAV Fun In The Sun picnic this past Saturday. It was a huge success!! Department Line Officers and the Department Assistant Adjutants joined in on the festivities. We had about 70 folks show up, all the way to the end. Apologies to those who we didnt capture in the pictures. There was plenty of food, music, and activities for folks to do. A few folks walked trails, and the youth looked for the pedal boats, but it may have been too far of a walk down to the river. It was wonderful to see everyone come together and fellowship with one another. A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE PLANNING COMMITTEE!!! We look forward to making this an annual event, with another chapter taking the reigns.

DAV Chapter 48 in the Dale City 4th of July Parade - 08/20/2022
Comrades Commander Hoyte and Adjutant Everage represented the chapter in the Dale City 4th of July Parade, and they were caught on video! They can be seen at 12:38 time marker with a spectator calling out to them "What's going on Dave?" as so many people pronounce DAV (instead of calling out the letters). A good time was had, participants and spectators; the fun continued at the Family Fun Day. This was a first for the Comrade Adjutant who said driving her red convertible in a 4th of July parade was a check off on her bucket list. #4thofjuly2022 Dale City, Virginia Dale City Civic Association.
